I had the pleasure of attending the first birthday party of a beautiful little girl named Hazel Jean. She had the great luck to be born to a fantastic mother who will ensure she has the best start possible.
I can’t help but wonder what is in store for Hazel J. She isn’t limited like the generations of women before her; she can be anything and go anywhere. I hope to always be a part of her life.

Red Balloon
So some of you may know the story of The Red Balloon. It is a french film about a little boy that has a red balloon follow him and becomes his friend.
So I am driving the other day about to have a night out with some friends and feeling very optimistic. All of a sudden I see a red balloon floating in the sky so I think, “Sarah, there is your red balloon.” This makes me smile and my heart lifts…not 5 seconds later the damn balloon goes right into a tree and pops.
I actually laughed right out load because I thought it fitting…of course my balloon popped.
